People Making Waves is a 4 year ground breaking programme which will connect the people of Scotland with the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games encouraging them to create and record their personal stories about the experiences, learning, friendships and connections they establish in the run up to, during and after the Games.

peoplemakingwaves.org.uk is a digital story book will capture the range of cultural activities through words, photos, video and podcasts creating a lasting legacy.

People Making Waves is part of The Scottish Project, the Legacy Trust UK’s Scottish regional project, supported by Scottish Arts Council. It is a 4 year programme that will invite the people of Scotland to connect with the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Olympic Movement in general to express its values of excellence, respect, equality, courage, determination, inspiration and friendship. in waves of voluntary action that reach out locally, nationally and internationally in a celebration of humanity through sport, culture and learning. People Making Waves will focus on creating a legacy in Scotland through people’s awareness and involvement in the Olympic Movement.

People Making Waves is the 1st project in Scotland to be awarded the Inspire Mark, the badge of the London 2012 Inspire programme.

People Making Waves will be implemented through four 'waves' of broad cultural activity which will invite individuals and organisations to get involved.
