ICE AND ME
I received a phonecall from an old friend asking if I was still playing trumpet as a local amateur dramatics group were performing 'Bugsy Malone' and needed a brass section... I was then introduced to the world of ICE!
That was 9 years ago and I'm still very much involved with the club. I've learned so many new skills (and improved on some old ones) and I've met so many wonderful people throughout the years. I would say the highlight of ICE for me would have to be the friendships I've made along the years... I met my best friend at ICE, she's getting married soon (to her fiance that she met at ICE!) and I'll be there in my bridesmaid dress looking on fondly and remembering thats its all down to ICE that we met :)
I cannot praise ICE enough, throughout the years I've had many ups and downs and the support network I found there has helped me through grey skies and stormy nights.
Not all of us can dance (me!), not all of us can sing but we all enjoy working together and I know that in years to come I'll look fondly back on my days in ICE and say "I was part of something and it was something amazing".
