Singing Breakfast Clubs - sharing tunes, breakfast and memories

New Rhythms For Glasgow has for the past 12 years been making music amongst the communities of North Glasgow. From organising an anti-racist gig with The Proclaimers in The Barrowlands to supporting our long term member Nikitta through the X-Factor finals: we've done it all!

Now we're expanding our member group and musical tastes: thanks to Make A Splash we will be holding weekly Singing Breakfast Clubs! These sessions will be held weekly at three different venues across North Glasgow. They are aimed at the vulnerable elderly living in our communities. We want to bring them together for a traditional Scottish or Music Hall song, a cup of tea and some toast. Our aims are to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst elderly people; give them a platform to share their memories; give them a weekly activitity to look forward to and pick up some new songs along the way! We will provide experienced tutors, transport and breakfast!

Further details of venues and times will be confirmed and posted here shortly so watch this space!!
