Upcycling

To encourage the re-cycling of unwanted materials to create new items which will result in reducing our CO2 emissions and to educate more people in how to re-use at home.

Several classes were held-

Old Christmas and celebration cards had been collect at the Resource Centre during the year, and turned into new personalised cards, gift boxes and tags.

A variety of woollen garments had been collected and were turned into funky woollen hats.

UFO - Un-Finished Objects, proved very popular with some of the items being started over 40 years ago and would no doubt have been dumped eventually.  The items included a bed-spread made from knitted squares, a sewing/stitch picture, and various knitting projects.
