- Bio
- A Moment’s Peace Theatre Company was set up as a means for artists and audiences to explore the inextricable links between the personal and the political, the local and the global. By fusing emotional, physical and visual detail we strive to create dynamic and original pieces of theatre and performance projects as a way of telling new stories, creating platforms for the experiences of unheard voices, and finding imaginative ways of re-examining seemingly familiar narratives. We seek to encourage ourselves and our audiences to re-imagine the world we live in and see it as a place brimming with possibility of change. We are determined to make work with and for as wide an audience and participant group as possible, which means our projects can take place in schools, community spaces, found spaces as well as established theatre venues. Whether projects are developed as part of our Production or Participation Programmes, we strive to position theatre as a creative means for individuals to consider and respond to both their own and other people’s concerns. At the heart of our creative vision will always lie the drive to constantly pursue new ways of working so that our projects are sites where performer and audience, ideology and creativity come together to produce experiences that entertain, challenge, excite, inform and inspire.
