Make a Splash! is a Scotland-wide series of information and training events, being run by Voluntary Arts Scotland, encouraging people to think about how they can increase participation in their activities. Either by attracting new and diverse members and audiences to an existing group – or by plugging a gap in their area by setting up a new group.

Make a Splash! is backed by a small grants programme, so we’re able to offer people the resources to try something new and maybe take a risk or two.

Finally, to keep the whole process as fun and creative as possible, we won’t ask for evaluation forms at the end of each project – just stories about how it went, who took part and how they might inspire others to participate in the arts and crafts.

There will also be opportunities for groups to take part in a final celebration event for the whole Make a Splash! programme, just prior to the Olympics opening in 2012.

The small grant scheme is now open. More information on where and when we’ll be holding the information and training events is available on this website along with the relevant booking form.
