Make a Splash! is a Scotland-wide series of information and training events being run by Voluntary Arts Scotland, encouraging people to think about how they can increase participation in their activities. Either by attracting new and diverse members and audiences to an existing group – or by plugging a gap in their area by setting up a new group. Backed by a small grants programme and opportunities to get involved with ‘Live Sites’ around the country, we also have a final celebration event planned in 2012!
Read stories from Make a Splash! projects inspiring more people to take part in the arts and crafts by clicking here and you can also look at related photos, videos and listen to podcasts.
If you have stories to tell with regards to your own or your group’s participation activities then you will need to register first. Click on the ‘Register’ link in the very top left hand corner and fill in the relevant username, email and passwords.
Next fill in the relevant profile. If you are telling your story as an individual then use the members page. If you are telling stories from a group point of view (including if you have been successful with a Make a Splash! grant application), then start a group and complete the profile on the Groups page. Of course you can fill in both profiles if appropriate!
You aren’t restricted to just one story. You can ‘blog’ as you go along if it suits or upload a number of stories from different participants – especially if you are a group – to give the best description of what you have been doing and what happened. And of course, ‘a picture paints a thousand words’, so any images, videos and podcasts are welcome!
