On Saturday 28 November, Voluntary Arts Scotland will be in Dumfries with Make a Splash!, the exciting new project which forms part of People Making Waves.

This event will be taking place during the final weekend of the Homecoming celebrations and is a good way to consider how you can attract new and diverse people to participate in your activities beyond such events. Through discussions we will be looking at what are the barriers to people currently taking part and how you can try new ideas and approaches.

The Make a Splash! event will be run in conjunction with the Scottish Wave of Change strand of People Making Waves. Led by Gerry Hassan – writer, commentator, policy analyst – and building on Scotland 2020 and Glasgow 2020 futures project, this strand is exploring the potential of people across Scotland through a series of discussion events, using stories, creativity and hope inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic values. A good companion to the work you will be doing in relation to thinking about how you can attract more people to your activities.

Time: 11am-2.30pm with lunch included (Tea & coffee available from 10.30am)
