Acting Workshops Build Confidence
A set of acting workshops in Dysart saw absolute beginners gain confidence in their acting ability. Ice breaking drama games got participants warmed up and acquainted - and resulted in some hilarious skits! We then moved onto reading and performing monologues - some of which had been written in earlier writing workshops. The writers got the chance to see their work performed, and those performing were encouraged and advised on how to improve their delivery. All involved were brave enough to come out of their shells and get stuck in to what can be a daunting activity. I think we all left with a better understanding of what it means to be an actor, and also just a little more self belief when it comes to public speaking.
