The Dysart Sail-In Film Festival Story
The Dysart Community Regeneration Forum is a voluntary group in the town of Dysart, Fife. Set up to undertake and oversee various projects towards the regeneration of the area,
The Forum was delighted to back the idea of a film festival in Dysart. We were even more eager to see that festival motivating local people to get involved in the arts, and make work that would contribute towards the festival's content. We were delighted to hear that our project had received funding and are now all set to proceed with our outdoor film event on September 11th in Dysart Harbour.
Free workshops in areas such as scriptwriting, poetry, music, art, film and performance will run throughout August. A short film competition is also open to all. We'd love for you to get involved! A website will shortly be launched announcing further details but in the meantime feel free to get in touch with us here or through our event organiser, filmmaker lawriebrewster at newagefilm dot co dot uk.
