Looking for an opportunity to develop your volunteering experience? Want to meet new people? Or just fancy a new challenge? Then Wave of Friendship is for you. We are promoting a volunteer programme between Scotland and London and you could be part of this exciting scheme. Up to £500 is available – so apply now.
Arranging your volunteering exchange means you will be meeting new people and making new friends. You’ll get valuable experience of working in another part of the country, learning new skills and experiencing new challenges. And it will be great fun too!
It’s easy to organise too. Any volunteering opportunity will qualify as long as it reflects one of these values; Friendship, Respect, Courage, Determination, Equality and Inspiration. And if I know anything about volunteering there won’t be many - if any - which don’t qualify! So far we’ve had volunteers going to the British Museum, the Edinburgh Moonwalk, to environmental organisations, art galleries and working with an organisation working to reduce third world debt – so you can see the possibilities are wide open!
You can either look for an existing volunteering opportunity or you can arrange your own. Let’s get creative here. Think about it ... it could be providing volunteering support for an event, it could be arranging an opportunity at your London office, it could be anything you want it to be. It’s certainly a fantastic opportunity for you to have an amazing experience and do something good.
